Unlike the December, 2004 Pacific earthquake and flood, the “triple Tsunami” of AIDS, war and drought is still pouring over Africa and taking more lives by the minute. Our founder, Kidest Mulugetta, has had her heart steered by this tragedy for over twenty years. When she first went back to her native Ethiopia to “help out:” in 1985, she didn’t realize that she was seeing only one of the early waves of these terrible tragedies. That same “Triple Tsunami” is still raging...and is getting worse
In may ways this storm is far worse than the Pacific Tsunami. It maims and kills at a terrible daily pace, but we become a terrible daily pace, but we become numb to it over time. Over the years, million have died...and millions more will die. Keeping our attention and the attention of the world on this tragedy is a constant challenge.
As volunteer members of Moses Orphans Ministries International, we pledge to use all of your contributions in direct efforts to the protection and nurturing of the world’s orphaned and abandoned children.
